Why did you choose a destination wedding?

We wanted a special celebration over multiple days rather than just one special day.

Why did you select that destination and venue?

We’d travelled through the Yarra Valley previously and knew we wanted to get married in a vineyard. We then remembered how picturesque our visit to Balgownie was.07220503

Did you have guests attend and, if so, what was their reaction to a destination wedding?

We both live in London so it was nice for our family members and friends from all over the world to meet in one of Australia’s beautiful vineyards.05680447

What is your favourite memory of the day?

Mark: Seeing my beautiful bride for the first time.

What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations on?

We had a vineyard theme and used sapphire blue and coral colours to create contrast. Essentially, we just wanted it to be elegant without being too formal.08620673

How did your wedding coordinator help you?

Our wedding co-ordinator, Sue Crawford was knowledgeable about all of the suppliers and gave us great advice.

What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?

We got to celebrate with our families and friends for two weeks with various dinners, day trips and barbeques.

Did you honeymoon in the same location?

For our honeymoon we travelled throughout Australia, Fiji and Abu Dhabi. We spent two nights at Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley and will be spending another complimentary night there next year.
