For their intimate destination wedding in Bali, Teodora and John were smitten by the powder-white sands and sophisticated feel of Nusa Dua on the island’s east coast. And, more specifically, the exclusive tropical surrounds of Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa and Spa. With paradise found, the couple enlisted just two cherished attendants to help them celebrate this effortlessly elegant toes-in-the-sand soirée.

The day began with Teodora and John each prepping in their own private Kayumanis villa, where they could savour the morning’s excitement and anticipation in comfort. Putting their trust in the gracious hospitality and expertise of the Kayumanis team meant the couple could enjoy the journey, even when planning from afar. And this feeling continued as the groom waited for his beautiful, barefoot bride to glide up the sandy aisle — a moment the couple both note as especially memorable.

The ocean waves delivered a dreamy backdrop while local touches brought an authentic feel (after all, this wasn’t just any wedding!) with Balinese flower girls, white umbrellas, and traditional Rindik music. Teodora and John embraced the breezy tropical feel in their own styling with a fresh white palette and fragrant frangipani blooms.

Kissed by sea breezes, the happy couple exchanged heartfelt promises, and — with a shower of petals and a romantic dove release — they were wed! Riding that newlywed high, they lapped up golden hour for a joyous photocall that made the most of the beachfront and lush surrounds. The relaxed elegance of the day carried on to the beach cocktail party, accented with lovely Balinese details.

“We love Bali” says the couple, who continued the love affair by honeymooning around this gorgeous isle. And, with a special shoutout to Kayumanis and planner Diana from Bali Wedding Solutions, they reveal their favourite part of a Bali holiday wedding. “Everything was organised for us, we didn‘t have to do a thing,” they agree, noting friends and family back home are still talking about their romantic escape. “Everyone tells us they’ve never seen anything like it!”
