What’s the biggest misconception couples have about planning a destination wedding in Bali?
That they don’t need a wedding organiser on the day itself. Some couples arrive thinking they can manage without one – but Bali has its own rhythms, legalities and customs. A good local planner doesn’t take over your wedding; they make sure it happens the way you imagined it.
What’s the one thing wedding couples always forget?
Small personal accessories – a groom’s belt is the classic one. These things only matter when someone’s pointing a camera, and by then it’s too late. A thorough check of everything the day before goes a long way.
What’s your best piece of advice for couples planning their destination wedding?
As soon as you have your date, book the venue. Everything else follows from that.
What’s the most memorable thing a couple has ever said to you after their wedding day?
One couple thanked Mey and her team during their wedding speech. They’re still friends today – which perhaps says everything about the kind of experience the Royal Santrian creates.
