Why did you choose a destination wedding?
We chose a destination wedding because it allowed us to be more creative with our own style and tastes. It also fulfilled our dream of a beachfront reception, while at the same time serving as a holiday for most of our guests.

Shangri-La‘s is one of the best resorts in Cebu, offering first-class accommodation and services.
How did your guests react to you choosing a destination wedding?
They were delighted to part of a unique and beautiful wedding that was different from the typical indoor reception.
What is your favourite memory of the day?
The awesome fireworks show synchronised with my siblings singing – which was the best finale.
What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations or decor on?
Simple but classy and elegant.
How did your wedding coordinator help you?
From the very beginning, we had several meetings with our coordinator. She’d give us detailed updates about our vendors and suppliers, and also helped us to negotiate the best rates. On our wedding day we both felt like a king and queen as our coordinator, together with the Shangri-La’s staff, took care of every need.
What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
It was a unique and memorable event, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime reunion.
