Even the most laid-back of brides will admit that they have some sort of ideal wedding location locked away in their mind. For Ivana, it was the perfect golden sands of Bali’s beaches.
Both Ivana and her fiancé Subash love the tropical destination, so they set their sights for Bali and took on the immense challenge of planning an international wedding in three short months… with a little help. “Thankfully, my eldest sister helped me look for the perfect venue,” reveals Ivana. “After a few weeks of searching she found Kayumanis Nusa Dua, which is gorgeous – I fell in love instantly.”
When Ivana and Subash arrived in Bali they were blown away by the result of all their planning. “We had the ceremony on the resort’s private beach, which was decorated so beautifully with flowers in my colour palette of soft peach and green,” says Ivana. “It was more stunning than I could have ever imagined for my wedding day.”
Tying the knot in front of their 45 guests, the happy couple were taking in the glorious sunshine when the weather quickly turned. “We originally planned to have the reception dinner in the outdoor garden area but it started pouring shortly after the ceremony,” explains Ivana. Luckily, the back-up option was just as sweet: “We had to move to an indoor area, which is still lovely and had great ambience, plus floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlooked the gardens.”
Enjoying a night of dancing and fantastic food, Ivana and Subash partied the night away with their friends and family. “All the guests were very happy and really loved the ceremony, decorations and the food,” says Ivana. “It was the perfect day.”
