A DREAM FAMILY HOLIDAY proved to be the perfect foil for Angela and Garreth to surprise their five children with an “I do”! In between running their own business and a hectic household, this busy couple didn’t have much time to plan their celebration – but they longed for a relaxing getaway. Thailand’s island of Koh Samui caught their eye, specifically the “beautiful grounds and gorgeous beachfront location” of the Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui. “We planned to holiday here with our children, so it was the perfect opportunity to surprise them with a wedding,” reveals Angela.
Thanks to the help of the resort’s wedding planner Miss Ju, organising the surprise nuptials was a cinch. “ As a bride I had 100% confidence in the success of our event,” Angela says. “The Centara Grand team were fantastic as they took care of all the details and eliminated all of my wedding stress.”
Celebrations began with a traditional long drum parade, leading the bride-to-be through gardens and down a swoon-worthy aisle of blooms to the beach where Garreth and their children waited. “It was very moving and certainly brought a tear to my eye!” says Angela. “I highly recommend it for other brides.” After planting a “love tree” and sharing some playful moments with their children at photo time, the newlyweds enjoyed a private family dinner. “It was great to already be on holidays and continue our vacation with our kids and share this wonderful experience with them,” reveals Angela. Family time doesn’t get much better than this!
