We are so in love with this gorgeous celebration! Inspired by Bali’s exotic landscapes and convenient location for travelling guests, Lauren and Wade brought to life one seriously stylish celebration in paradise. Wish. We. Were. There!
With 109 loved ones making the journey to attend, the couple knew Villa Kalani in the destination’s amazing Umalas region was the perfect location. “It was like the perfect half-way point for everyone,” explains Lauren. Their planning paid off, with friends and family all gathering at the rustic-glam resort and quickly getting into holiday-mode. “We were all able to leave behind the stress of work and real life. We all really felt so happy!”
When the wedding day arrived (9th September, 2018), there may have been a slight hiccup, though – what’s that phrase about best laid plans? “The groomsmen’s shirts went missing during the drive from the hotel to the venue,” laughs Lauren. “Luckily, we can look back and laugh now!” Phew!
Thankfully dressed and looking his best, Wade joined his stunning bride by the venue’s pool for a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Treated to perfectly sunny skies, the two were full of smiles when they took part in a special blessing ceremony and later exchanged vows. “We felt like we were in a little tranquil slice of heaven,” remembers Lauren.
After saying “I do”, Lauren and Wade had photos taken with their bridal party in the venue’s lush gardens and went on to enjoy a marvellous reception under the stars with loved ones. Decked out with fairy lights, lush blooms and flickering candles, Villa Kalani’s palm-fringed gardens provided a magical setting for sharing cocktails and delicious cuisine. “The atmosphere was just so great,” says Lauren. “Having everyone we love in the same place at the same time was just the best feeling!”
Hitting the dance-floor and listening to touching speeches, the newlyweds made fantastic memories they say they’ll cherish forever. “Our destination wedding was the best decision we made,” says Lauren. “The day was just full of love!”
