Why the Nora Buri Resort and Spa?

“Mark did a lot of research prior to us deciding on the resort. Reading fabulous online reviews and communicating with the resort’s wedding planner gave us the confidence we needed. The venue itself is romantic and private and our guests felt really relaxed from the moment they arrived.”

Quirky Celebrations/Rituals

“All our guests participated in a traditional Thai activity that involved lighting fire lanterns and releasing them into the sky at the end of the evening. The lanterns looked absolutely beautiful against the beach backdrop at Koh Samui, and I’ll always remember it as one of the more special moments.”

Best Photo Locations

“The secluded beach at the resort was a perfect backdrop for most of our photos, especially at sunset. It was wonderful that we didn’t have to travel far for photos as that meant we had more time to spend with our guests.”

The Music

“One of Mark’s best friends, Jamie Martens, played guitar and sang songs during our ceremony. A live band played at the reception and everyone danced the night away.”

The Menu

“We choose a buffet to ensure everyone could find something they like. The food was fabulous and the fresh fish was really popular.”

The Accommodation

“Being able to wake up in our beachfront suite and see a stunning view of the ocean lying just beyond our private infinity pool felt like heaven.”

Superior Service

“At one stage I saw our wedding planner, Michelle Suwannasri helping my elderly father up some stairs. Although she was busy, she understood who this day was for and went out of her way to ensure everyone was taken care of. This small but sweet gesture demonstrated her genuine care and attention. Everyone commented on how well run the event was and how nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.”

Advice for Brides

“A wedding planner who has good reviews is the key to a successful event. When you’re so far away and planning such a big event, you need to trust who you’re going to work with. I have no doubt that without our wedding planner, Michelle, our wedding wouldn’t have been as special as it was. She always kept us informed and gave us as much control over the event as we wanted (though we were happy to let her make a lot of the decisions). You just can’t underestimate the value of a good wedding planner.”
