An amazing Thailand location, beautiful styling and plenty of sweet moments – this wedding was one to really love! Escaping to Koh Samui’s dreamy Silavadee Pool Spa Resort with their nearest and dearest, Joanne and Steven saw their special day as a chance to reconnect with loved ones. The result? A celebration to treasure!
There was a specific brief that led the couple to Silavadee Pool Spa Resort. “Steven’s family is from England and mine is from Australia, so we wanted something that was as ‘in the middle’ as possible,” explains Joanne.
Lovers of Thailand’s breathtaking scenery, the couple opted for a gorgeous destination wedding in tropical Koh Samui. “Having it abroad meant that everyone was more relaxed and ready to have a good time,” says Joanne. “Everyone fell in love with the location!” We can see why!
Set up for Joanne and Steven’s ceremony, the resort’s secluded beach looked every bit the ‘tropical wedding’ idyll. Following her stunning bridesmaids and her super-cute nieces down the aisle, the bride was full of excitement when it came time to exchange vows. “Everything was a bit of a blur,” laughs Joanne. “I forgot everyone else was there and for a while it felt like it was just Steven and myself.”
Pronounced ‘husband and wife’, the two explored the venue and its screensaver-ready beach for a romantic photo-session. “Thailand is just so beautiful,” says Joanne. Joining their 52 guests in the Silavadee Moon Restaurant later that evening, Joanne and Steven clinked Champagne glasses and enjoyed a brilliant reception. “We opted for the barbecue buffet. Everything was so delicious!”
Heartwarming speeches and plenty of dancing capped off a spectacular celebration. “The team at Silavadee were so exceptional and everything went better than expected,” says Joanne. “Everyone said it was the most picturesque wedding they had ever been to!”
