Samantha and Troy found their perfect wedding day atmosphere at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay! “It was the perfect backdrop for our special day. We wanted something tropical and laid back with hints of elegance and extravagance which ended up being exactly what we got,” says Samantha. She noted that their 45 guests found this location to not only be a perfect place to celebrate the love of the newlyweds, but to be a great holiday adventure to experience with the couple! This combination of holiday and celebration was one of the things the couple truly believed help make their day so special. “We never would have been able to create the same atmosphere had we have had it at home,” said the bride.
The ceremony itself, overlooking gorgeous turquoise waters and lush, swaying palm trees through an enchanting arc of flowers, was a perfectly romantic setting. Samantha said that she will be sure to hold the precious memory of their children, Mason and Tatum, walking down the aisle close to her heart, saying, “Nothing can beat that.” Samantha said she will also fondly remember “the constant, all around humour from the groom, groomsmen, father of the bride and photographer. The whole day was a laugh and was thankfully captured throughout our video.” The couple then treated their guests to a beautiful outdoor reception that evening, complete with twinkling fairy lights and a delicious seafood and barbeque buffet!
When asked if she would recommend a destination wedding to other brides, Samantha said, “Do it! It will be worth every piece of effort you put into it and will be one of a kind.” Having done much of the wedding planning herself, the bride explained that it is important not to sweat the small stuff and that communication is key when planning a wedding remotely: “Sometimes trying to relay the vision you have for the day can be challenging, so there was a lot of going back and forth. But in the end, it was everything we had imagined.”
After their busy day, the couple headed to Likuliku for a short getaway without the kids and are planning an extended honeymoon later. Congratulations to the happy couple!
