Christine’s Church of the Two Grandfathers, Byron Bay
Adored for weddings since 1897, Christine’s Church of the Two Grandfathers is a 19th-century church with 21st-century facilities. Available for non-denominational and civil ceremonies, and air conditioned for all-weather comfort, the church features original stained-glass windows and glittering French Provincial chandeliers. Outside, the beautiful gardens and rose walk are in bloom year round, providing a dramatic entrance via the grand circular driveway.
Together with the new self-catering Crystal Room reception space, this delightful church is perfect for private elopements through to 140 guests — and only two hours from Brisbane.
The Crystal Room
Illuminated by four custom-made Venetian chandeliers, The Crystal Room opens seamlessly onto the property’s extensive lawns, gardens and organic macadamia plantation. Showcasing cathedral ceilings and a professionally-sprung timber dance floor, it offers numerous magical backdrops for your wedding photos.
Designed so you can bring your choice of beverages and caterers (with a large kitchen servery and refrigeration facilities), the venue includes full crockery, glassware and linens along with tables and gold Chiavari chairs. Experienced waitstaff are available for hire and there’s even a private dressing room for the bride and groom.
