Why did you choose a destination wedding?
The idea was to gather our friends and family in a unique, magical and unforgettable place.
Why did you select the destination and venue you did?
The wedding was to take place in January and the weather in Thailand was optimal. The venue is absolutely wonderful and is easily accessible from Phuket International Airport. This was exactly what we were looking for.
Did you have guests attend, and if so, what was their reaction to you having a destination wedding?
Most of our guests came from Argentina, Singapore, United States and China. It was a long trip but they were very happy to share this special time with us.
What is your favourite memory of the day?
The outstanding weather and having all of our friends and family share this special moment with us.
What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
We were able to gather our friends for more than just an evening, but for five complete days. You get to share things with friends in a relaxed environment.
What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations on?
The theme was a romantic beach wedding using light and fresh colours, which allowed natural venues like the beach and gardens, to shine.
How did your wedding coordinator assist you?
Wassana’s attitude towards solving each one of our requests and her extraordinary capabilities to organise certainly made our wedding unforgettable.
Did you honeymoon in the same location?
No, we spent five days at The Racha Resort with all of our guests and haven’t yet organised the honeymoon.
What’s your best piece of advice for a couple planning their own destination wedding?
Enjoy it. Sometimes organising a destination wedding is very arduous, but when the day came, all the effort came together.
