Describe InterContinental Bali Resort in five words
Refreshing escape from the modern world.

What are the main reasons people choose this venue for a destination wedding?
InterContinental Bali Resort offers an impressive array of exclusive and utterly scenic wedding venues, accommodated in our gardens and beach area. These can be personally tailored further for your special day in terms of decoration, seating arrangements, entertainment, cultural style and more.

Where’s your favourite spot at InterContinental Bali Resort for a gorgeous wedding photo?
The beach during the sunset
The resort’s bridge which shows the traditional Bali style of architecture
One of the lagoons in the resort

And what’s the most Instagrammable spot at the resort? One sure to make people back home jealous!
A photo in a hammock by the sea would be one to make people back home jealous.

What’s the best room or suite for the wedding night and why?
The Club Suite collection would be the best and most suitable for your wedding night

Our suites at InterContinental Bali Resort embody tropical island living where modern comfort meets Balinese design heritage. They have everything a couple could ever need, provided for their comfort — spacious living and dining areas, luxurious bedroom, and a marbled bathroom where you can sink into a Jacuzzi bathtub or bask in the sun on the private terrace, all while our butler service takes care of every whim.

What’s one thing you get at InterContinental Bali Resort and nowhere else on the planet?
We provide private and easy access for wedding guests to the venue without having to go through the public resort’s facilities.

What are some of the chef’s specialities for a wedding menu?
InterContinental Bali Resort offers a choice of outstanding cuisine on the special day.
Banquet specialities include:

  • Balinese grilled seafood platter, prawns, squid, mahi mahi with grilled vegetables, organic red rice and sambals.
  • Beef sirloin with red wine and balsamic jus, baby carrots, potato and apple gratin.
  • Lobster tail with mango, soy and mirin dressing, cherry tomatoes.

What’s the strangest wedding request you’ve ever had – and did you deliver?!
We always say a ‘unique preference’ instead of strange request. We understand the unique desires of each couple and strive to make their dream weddings come true.

What’s something wedding couples always forget to bring or do?
Every wedding has its own memorable moment for me, but something wedding couples often forget to do is have their own wedding vow prepared for the ceremony, and thank you speech for before the dinner.

A traditional Balinese wedding.

What’s the most glamorous/luxurious thing couples get to do at the InterContinental Bali Resort?
Wedding couples will have more than one glamorous and luxurious moment with the InterContinental Bali Resort. A couple will stay in a suite with a butler provided and enjoy the intimate honeymoon set up in the room that we provide either on arrival or after the wedding. Then they can indulge in a romantic spa treatment in our secluded and spacious spa villas which are dedicated to couples.

What’s your best piece of advice for a couple planning their destination wedding?
Our best tip for couples planning a destination wedding is to decide the perfect time to have their wedding — you must save the date and venue 812 months in advance so your guests are able to best prepare. This also means checking the weather conditions, is it normal or high season? This will affect the cost of accommodation and air travel!

What’s the most memorable feedback you’ve ever received from a happy bride and groom?
Couples who express their happiness and satisfaction by writing a personal thank you email after they’ve safely arrived home, attached with our picture together that we had after the event
