Why did you choose a destination wedding?

We chose to have a destination wedding in the USA because my husband is originally from there and I knew all of my friends and family in Australia would love an excuse to travel.

Why did you select that destination and venue?

My husband is a rodeo athlete and my family are all from country areas, so Texas seemed like a good choice – plus we absolutely love the place. I chose Vista West Ranch because of its rustic vibe. I wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and inside reception, so the venue was perfect for this. photo-51O7A8006Edited-591O7A85521O7A97731O7A8525Edited-946

How many guests attended your wedding?

We had 200 guests attend our wedding. I had over 30 Australian guests, and there were 10 guests from Canada, 10 guests from Brazil, and the remainder were already living in America.

What is your favourite memory of the day?

My favourite memory is our ceremony and seeing my husband Tyson as I first walked down the aisle. I also loved listening to all of the speeches, which were so funny and really special.1O7A8647Edited-9661O7A8732Edited-3211O7A87521O7A94341O7A9898

What was the best part about having a destination wedding?

I’m a very adventurous person so I loved being able to travel to a destination to get married. It was great because all of our family and friends arrived a few days early, so we got to have a mini holiday together before the wedding, looking around the beautiful city of Austin.

What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations on?

We wanted a rustic/country themed wedding that was still glamorous and classy.  I think our wedding decorator/florist at Petal Pushers was really able to capture the theme I wanted.1O7A98641O7A9991Edited-600Edited-5311O7A9584Edited-359Edited-356J22_8024Edited-352Edited-348Edited-344Edited-341J22_9193

Did you honeymoon in the same location?

We actually waited three months to have our honeymoon so we could spend more time with my family who had travelled from across the world to be with us. My husband is a professional rodeo athlete and his World Finals are in December every year, so we decide to go to Bora Bora after the World Finals. We had so much fun in Bora Bora and it’s such a beautiful place.1O7A0369
