Why did you choose a destination wedding?

We had hoped for an intimate wedding that we could share with the people in our lives that meant so much to us. The island of Bali allowed our hopes to come true and we felt it made for a destination wedding like no other. It was important to us that our guests were relaxed and having a wonderful time, so what better than a holiday destination.44

Why did you select the destination and venue you did?

We just love Bali! Bali was simply a dreaminspired wedding within a picturesque setting that just had that ‘magical feeling.’ We travelled to Bali earlier in the year and viewed many of the island’s spectacular villas and resorts. Nothing could compare to Kayumanis Private Villa and Spa, set in beautiful Nusa Dua. We were instantly drawn to its stunning setting, beautiful surrounds and the intimate atmosphere that we were in search of.34

Did you have guests attend, and if so, what was their reaction to you having a destination wedding? Excited! It gave our guests a reason to go on holiday. Forty of our closest and dearest family and friends travelled to Bali to share our special day and the love and friendship we felt from our guests we will be forever grateful for. What is your favourite memory of the day? Everything! We will have memories that will last a lifetime. The detail of the ceremony and reception was of romantic perfection. There were so many moments of peace and tranquility. Our wedding memories are above and beyond all ever imagined. There was a feeling of love and friendliness from the Balinese, as we were made to feel so special.

What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?

Everyone was on a holiday mood and having fun throughout the whole trip.24

What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations on?

I was heavily influenced by pretty vintage design. The grounds and restaurant of Kayumanis Private Villa were so beautiful; the exposed grey walls, the green vines, beautiful trees and bamboo, the vintage style complemented perfectly. How did your wedding coordinator assist you? Ami has the kindest of nature. Gentle, compassionate and professional she assisted in ensuring that all our dreams for the day came true.6353

Did you honeymoon in the same location?

We stayed in Bali at Kayumanis for a further two days in our beautiful honeymoon suite. The service and hospitality as a guest at Kayumanis is exceptional. We will treasure their friendship established over the time we spent organising our beautiful wedding that we are so thankful for. We decided to continue traveling through Asia and were very excited to travel to Vietnam. On the way home, we spoilt ourselves with a quick stop over in Kuala Lumpur to shop and fill up on the delights of Malaysia food.
