What Made the Wedding Uniquely ‘Yours’?
Only immediate family attended, and as it was on the island they stayed for the whole weekend. It was lovely to catch up and enjoy everyone’s company without the stress of greeting tons of guests. How did you meet?
We met while working together when I was 18 and Ian was 20. We remained friends while Ian was overseas in Europe and during his basketball scholarship in the USA. When he returned to Australia, we became a couple.Tell us about the proposal.
Ian took me away to the Gold Coast but I refused to go out (ruining his plans) because it was busy Schoolies week! He proposed on the balcony with rose petals on the floor, playing my favourite song.DIY details
Our invitations were DIY, along with our guest gifts – chocolates.
A big thank you goes to my bridesmaids – Shauna, Natasha and Kahyla, and the groomsmen – Damo, Garth and Shane. Also our parents for helping us out with everything.
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
When we first started dating we went to Thailand together. As we had such a lovely time we decided to go back there for our honeymoon.
What’s your advice for brides-to-be?
